Nogizaka46’s “Zehinioyobazu” hits No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, on the chart released July 29.

The lead track from the group’s 42nd single, released July 22, marks the first center performance by fifth-generation member Miku Ichinose. The song sold 756,354 copies in its first week to top sales while also hitting No. 10 for downloads, No. 18 for streaming and No. 19 for radio.

Having charted for five weeks via digital prerelease, the track vaults from No. 42 to No. 1 in the week of its physical CD release. Nogizaka46 has now topped the single sales chart for 37 consecutive releases since “Girls’ Rule,” and “Zehinioyobazu” is the group’s 33rd title to reach No. 1 on the Japan Hot 100. CD sales account for approximately 81% of the track’s total points this week.

Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s “Brand New” holds at No. 2 for a second consecutive week, maintaining No. 1 on streaming with 8,441,977 streams, alongside No. 2 on radio and No. 5 on downloads. The group also places a total of 10 songs on the chart, including “lulu.” at No. 19 and “Ao to Natsu” at No. 28.

DXTEEN’s “Wanna” debuts at No. 3. The lead track from the group’s seventh single comes in at No. 2 for sales with 187,422 copies sold, and No. 6 for radio airplay.

M!LK’s “You!Joy!Parade!” jumps 20-4. Released digitally on July 17, the track only counted for three days during the previous chart week, making the current one effectively its first full week of tabulation. The track rules radio and comes in at No. 3 for downloads, No. 12 for streaming and No. 2 for video views. Combined with “Sukisugite Metsu!” at No. 8 and “Bakuretsu Aishiteru” at No. 9, the breakout five-man boy band places three songs in the top 10 and seven on the chart in total.

Three chart debuts follow, with STARGLOW’s “Drivin’ My Life” at No. 5, Angerme’s “BaBaBa Burning Love!” at No. 6 and aoen’s “Hajimari COLOR” at No. 7.

In other chart moves, CUTIE STREET’s “CUTIE SPHERE” shoots 83-29, driven by a surge in CD sales (81-8 on the metric). Kento Nakajima’s “Onigoto,” the opener for the anime series The Elusive Samurai season 2, debuts at No. 92 on the strength of downloads (No. 31), among other metrics. ROIROM’s “GHOST HOUSE,” released digitally on July 22, tops downloads and enters at No. 93. Meiyo Densetsu’s “New Goddess” climbs 32-27, with the bulk of its points coming from radio (No. 3).

Shakira & Burna Boy’s “Dai Dai,” the official anthem of the 2026 FIFA World Cup that concluded recently, surges 64-25 with downloads approximately 6.4 times higher than the previous week. As summer hits full stride, Southern All Stars’ “Manatsu no Kajitsu” climbs 77-36, Keisuke Kuwata’s “Johnny the Surfer” rises 87-60 and ZONE’s “secret base” reenters the chart at No. 85.

The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, audio streams, radio airplay, video views and karaoke data.
