Céline Dion has been honoured with her very own Barbie doll.
On Wednesday, designers at Mattel Creations announced the launch of the Céline Dion Barbie Signature Doll, priced at $60 (£45).
The doll is dressed in a long-sleeve navy blue gown and features a replica of the “Heart of the Ocean” necklace from the 1997 blockbuster, Titanic.
The outfit evokes the look Céline donned when she attended the 1998 Academy Awards, where she performed the Titanic theme, My Heart Will Go On. The Canadian superstar won the Oscar for Best Original Song on the night.
“It is a true honour to join the Barbie legacy with a doll inspired by one of the most meaningful moments of my career,” the 58-year-old declared. “I hope this doll inspires everyone to express themselves with confidence, follow their dreams and believe in the power of their own voice.”
Céline follows in the footsteps of the late Whitney Houston, Miley Cyrus, Kylie Minogue, Gloria Estefan, Diana Ross, and Stevie Nicks, among others, in being immortalised for the Barbie Signature Series.
The Power of Love hitmaker is currently performing a concert residency at the Plenitude Arena in Paris, France – with the engagement marking her return to live performance following a long hiatus where she battled serious health issues, including the rare neurological disorder stiff-person syndrome.
The first leg of the residency is scheduled to wrap up on Saturday, with Céline then taking a break. She will then perform 10 more shows next May.
