The singer-songwriter previewed the project with rock-tinged single “Here You Come, There You Go”
Gracie Abrams is about to bring even more hell. The singer-songwriter has announced Daughter From Hell (Deluxe), the extended version of her third studio album.
Abrams previewed the project with new single “Here You Come, There You Go.” Produced by Jim-E Stack and co-written with Amy Allen, the song finds the singer-songwriter pushing her sound into a rock-driven direction with electro touches. “Break my heart, make it new / What the hell can I do?” Abrams sings over a clutter of guitars and synths.
The singer-songwriter teased the track on Wednesday with an Instagram post. “I love this song so. much. and writing it with @jimestack and @amyallen made me feel like a kid. I am so excited and I hope you enjoy,” she wrote.
Daughter From Hell (Deluxe), which is set for release on Nov. 20., will feature five new songs in addition to the original 16. “Love Letter” and “Out of Nowhere,” which Abrams previously released as download-only bonus tracks, are on the new edition, along with the vinyl-exclusive song “Crazy Girl.”
“The theme to me is trying to paint an accurate picture of all of these different versions of who you are in this decade when you are sort of one foot in a past life and one foot in the future,” Abrams said of the album during an interview for her Rolling Stone cover story.
The deluxe comes at an exciting time for Abrams. This Saturday, she will return as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live before she hits the road for the Look at My Life Tour, which kicks off in Denver on Dec. 2.
