Ariel Pink claims to be the “most banned artist” as he repeats support for Donald Trump

Ariel Pink has claimed that he is the “most banned artist” and has reaffirmed his support for Donald Trump.

On January 6, 2021, Pink and musician John Maus attended Trump’s rally in Washington, DC, which later descended into violent chaos including the storming of the United States Capitol by Trump’s supporters.

Pink was dropped by his label Mexican Summer in the aftermath. He was later accused of physical and sexual abuse, which he has denied, and went on Tucker Carlson to complain about “cancel culture”.

Now, speaking in a new interview with The Sopranos star Drea de Matteo on her podcast, ULTRAFREE, Pink hit out at the music industry saying “they shut me down and shut me up”, before adding: “I’m the most banned artist. They don’t sell my music at Amoeba Records. I’m the least distributed artist in the world.

“My own audience, or my fanbase, has basically atrophied over the past six years because I haven’t even been able to get a foothold and get out there. Not one person in the industry coming to my defence or anything like that because they’d all get cancelled.”

He also went on to reiterate his support for Trump: “I believe in Trump… I actually do. I don’t hate the United States.

“I have benefitted from every terrible thing that any of the presidents – the past presidents that I hate and I don’t even agree with – I have benefitted from all the stupid crazy shit that they’ve done on my behalf elsewhere in the world. And I’ve reaped the benefits and the rewards from it by living here.”

Pink made similar comments on his X/Twitter page writing: “The entire internet is the dark alley where you get mugged by leftists repeatedly.”

none of you hell spawn are liberals. your parents were liberal- now they fear you.

He also compared himself to other controversial artists like Morrissey and Kanye West, adding: “One day they WILL book Ye, Sun Kill Moon, [Marilyn] Manson, Morrissey, MIA and Azealia [Banks] to play at festivals again. That will be the sure sign that we have emerged triumphant from out of these dark times.”
