Brian May has declared he won’t visit the US, describing it as “dangerous”.

The lead guitarist of rock band Queen revealed he would not be touring America in the near future, declaring the country “a dangerous place”.

“America is a dangerous place at the moment, so you have to take that into account,” Brian, 78, told The Daily Mail.

Despite having enjoyed touring the world superpower as recently as 2023, when he performed alongside Adam Lambert, 44, Brian explained he simply didn’t feel safe travelling to the US while its position on foreign travellers was unclear.

“It’s very sad because I feel like Queen grew up in America and we love it, but it’s not what it was,” the co-founder said, adding he was not alone in his position on the subject.

“Everyone is thinking twice about going there at the moment.”

The musician, who suffered a “minor stroke” in 2024, said he was unsure when Queen might be ready to tour again at all.

“I don’t know when Queen will be back on stage – it’s an unknown,” he told the outlet. “We’ll take it day by day.”

However, he added, the band had a stash of unreleased music that he suggested could warrant a return to the stage.

“But never say never about not coming back,” he teased. “The rebuild of Queen Two is coming back, and there are a couple of things you haven’t heard.”
