The Australian trio are kicking off their new era with their first entirely self-produced and recorded song.

Built around a pensive acoustic guitar, the vulnerable track recalls the hooky anthems they became renowned for.

“‘My Baby’s Place’ began with the verses, written around a back and forth between gratitude and destitution,” singer Matt Mason reflects. “I finished the choruses last year, at a time when a few chapters were closing, and it all clicked, so it felt right to record it ourselves in our studio in Glebe, Sydney”.

It comes alongside a cinematic, slo-mo video. Check it out below.

It comes amid ongoing 10th anniversary celebrations for the band’s seminal debut album, ‘Hills End‘. Last month, they kicked off a UK tour to mark the occasion, which continues in May. See the remaining dates below and find any remaining tickets here.

DMA’s 2026 tour dates are:

MAY
20 – Rock City, Nottingham
21 – Rock City, Nottingham
22 – UEA, Norwich

The band said about the anniversary and tour plans, “The UK has always felt like a second home for us. ‘Hills End’ was where our story really began overseas, so it feels right to come back and celebrate it with the fans who’ve supported us from day one.”

Their most recent album, ‘How Many Dreams?’, was released in March 2023. NME gave it a three-star review, writing: “‘How Many Dreams?’ is ambitious and catchy enough to satiate old fans and realign the narrative for those who may have written DMA’s off. But it’s hard to not leave feeling that this was their moment, and they’ve only grabbed it with one hand.”
