It was a morning of nostalgia, big reveals, and emotional reunions as Take That joined Scott Mills on the Radio 2 Breakfast Show today. Coinciding with the release of their new Netflix documentary, Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald spent an hour reflecting on 35 years of pop history—and dropping a bombshell about the band’s future.

The Return of Robbie?

The highlight for many fans was Gary Barlow’s candid response to Robbie Williams’ recent record-breaking #1 album success. When asked about a full reunion, Gary was remarkably certain:

“Listen, at some point it’s going to happen in the future… you never know what’s around the corner. As this documentary shows, we all started out at the same place. It’s wonderful, it really is.”

A New Album and Tour Prep

The band confirmed that the “INDI” era isn’t the only thing for fans to get excited about; a brand-new album is slated for release at the end of 2025. To celebrate, the trio is already preparing for their Circus Live Tour. The training regimes are varied: Gary has been secretly hitting the exercise bike, Howard is committed to Pilates, and Mark has purchased a unicycle to polish up his skills for the show’s more theatrical segments.

Reopening the “Helpline”

In a nod to the 1996 split that devastated a generation, Scott Mills reopened the Take That Helpline. The band took calls from fans like Emma in Lowestoft, who recalled trying to call the original line while recovering from surgery. In a classic “Progress” moment, the boys invited her to be their guest at an upcoming London show.

Howard Donald spoke movingly about that era, admitting the split felt like “his world had ended,” moving from the heights of fame back to his roots as a vehicle painter in a matter of months.

The morning ended on a high as the studio celebrated Mark Owen’s birthday with a “Colin the Caterpillar” cake—a fitting tribute given his mother once worked in the very Oldham bakery that produced them.
