Labrinth has blasted the TV show Euphoria and declared that he’s “done” with the industry.

The British musician, who wrote the score and several songs for the first two seasons of the HBO drama, appeared to distance himself from the show ahead of its upcoming third season.

In a cryptic Instagram post on Friday, the Emmy-winning musician wrote, “I’m done with this industry. F**k Columbia. Double f**k Euphoria. I’m out. Thank you and good night x.”

Labrinth, who is signed to Columbia Records, did not expand upon his comments with a caption. The post has since been deleted.

The 37-year-old has received praise for his Euphoria music over the years, and even won the Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics Emmy for the song All for Us, featuring the show’s lead actress Zendaya on vocals.

Last year, HBO officials announced that the Let the Sun Shine singer was returning to score the show’s third season alongside legendary composer Hans Zimmer.

Labrinth, real name Timothy McKenzie, said in a statement in July 2025, “Another chapter in the Euphoria universe! So great to join Hans, one of my heroes in film score, and bring some new magic to this new season.”

Zimmer added, “Labrinth’s music has shaped the show’s identity and I’m looking forward to contributing to the ongoing story and helping shape this new season through music.”

It is not clear what has caused the dispute between Labrinth and the show, or whether his music will feature in the third season.

His post comes days after he and Euphoria creator Sam Levinson attended Balenciaga’s Paris Fashion Week show, where they teased footage from the upcoming season.

Euphoria, which launched in 2019, stars Zendaya alongside the likes of Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer and Maude Apatow. The eight-episode season, set to launch on 12 April, will feature a time jump to bring the characters out of high school.
