A mix of magic and mayhem — and the prospect of winning seven tiny record player statuettes — has paved the way for Lady Gaga to perform at the Grammy Awards. Mother Monster has not yet confirmed which song or songs she’ll sing, but given that “Abracadabra” is up for both Record and Song of the Year and “Disease” is contending for Best Pop Solo Performance, the odds are good it’s one of those. Fans will learn on Sunday, when the awards show, which will be broadcast live from Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, airs at 8 p.m. on CBS and Paramount+.

Gaga, of course, is no stranger to the Grammys, where she has frequently staged surreal performances. She joined Elton John for a medley of “Poker Face,” “Speechless,” and “Your Song” in 2010, hatched from an egg to sing “Born this Way” the next year, duetted with Tony Bennett in 2015, paid tribute to David Bowie with a medley alongside Nile Rodgers in 2016, fanned the flames of metal with Metallica in 2017, serenaded Mark Ronson with “Joanne” in 2018, sang “Shallow” with Bradley Cooper in 2019, and toasted Bennett after his death with performances of “Love for Sale” and “Do I Love You” in 2022.

In addition to the aforementioned awards, Lady Gaga is up for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, both for Mayhem, Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, for Harlequin, and Best Pop Dance Recording, for “Abracadabra.” In the past, she’s already claimed 14 Grammys.

She’ll be joining Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, Lauryn Hill, Post Malone, Olivia Dean, Pharrell Williams, Slash, and many other artists that the Recording Academy has announced as performers. Trevor Noah has signed on to host for a sixth and, according to the Recording Academy, final time.

And, of course, Ms. Gaga should feel like a winner no matter what happens on Sunday since Rolling Stone named “Abracadabra” the Song of the Year in 2025. “There’s a lot of magic on ‘Abracadabra’: the way the synthesizers fade in and out like a slow-strobing disco light on a foggy dance floor, the sweeping, syncopated ‘A-braca-da-braaaa’ hook, and of course the skipping way she declares ‘Feel the beat under your feet, the floor’s on fiiire,’” the magazine wrote. “The song was an immediate hit and 2025’s most inescapable earworm anthem thanks to the way she and her sorceress’ apprentices assembled a perfect Lady Gaga pop song.”
