Madonna is offering a reward for the return of her archive costumes that went missing at Coachella 2026.

The Queen Of Pop made a surprise appearance during Sabrina Carpenter’s headline set at weekend two of the California festival last Friday (April 17), to launch her ‘Confessions II’ era.

“Twenty years ago today, I performed at Coachella. I was in the dance tent, and it was the first time I performed ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor’ part one in America,” she told the crowd.

“And that was such a thrill for me, so you can imagine what a thrill it is for me to be back 20 years later in the same boots, the same corset, the jacket I had on earlier, the same Gucci jacket. So, it’s like a full circle moment, very meaningful for me.”

In a post on social media yesterday (Monday April 20), however, Madonna told fans that the items she donned on stage at Coachella ’26 had gone missing.

“Still flying high since Friday night at Coachella! Thank you to Sabrina and everyone who made it possible,” she began. “Bringing ‘Confessions II’ back to where it began was such a thrill!”

The singer continued: “This full circle moment hit different until I discovered that the vintage pieces that I wore went missing – my costume that was pulled from my personal archives – jacket, corset, dress and all other garments.

“These aren’t just clothes, they are part of my history. Other archival items from the same era went missing as well.”

Madonna went on to say she was “hoping and praying that some kind soul will find these items and reach out to my team”. Those with any information can get in touch at [email protected].

“I’m offering a reward for their safe return. Thank you with all my heart,” the pop icon concluded, before sharing some photographs of the items in question. She also posted a series of pictures from the performance itself (see above).

Madonna performed ‘Vogue’, ‘Like A Prayer’ and debuted an upcoming collaboration with Carpenter, titled ‘Bring Your Love’, at Coachella weekend two. She also delivered a brief a cappella rendition of ‘Get Together’ from her original ‘Confessions…’ album (2005).

Shortly after the set, Madonna officially shared her new single ‘I Feel So Free’ on major streaming platforms. It came after the song was given its debut on LGBTQ+ radio station Pride Radio.

Madonna reunited with Stuart Price (the producer of the original album) for ‘Confessions II’, which is set for release on July 3. The record will come in two variations: a standard issue featuring 12 tracks, and a deluxe version containing four bonus songs.

She has explained that the new LP – the follow-up to 2019’s ‘Madame X’ – is best summed up in the opening lines of the track ‘One Step Away’: “People think that dance music is superficial, but they’ve got it all wrong. The dance floor is not just a place, it’s a threshold: A ritualistic space where movement replaces language.”

Madonna had revealed she’d been working with Price again back in December 2024, and then teased ‘Confessions II’ throughout 2025 and into this year. Last autumn, she confirmed that she had re-signed with Warner Records, and said she was “looking forward to the future, making music”.

The Queen Of Pop last played a run of live shows as part of her acclaimed ‘Celebration Tour’ in 2023 and 2024.
