Modest Mouse are back with their first new song since 2021. Janet Weiss, formerly of Sleater-Kinney and currently of Quasi, plays drums on “Look How Far…” Give it a listen below.
In the five years since their last album, The Golden Casket, Modest Mouse have kept busy. They reissued Good News for People Who Love Bad News for its 20th anniversary; toured with Cat Power and Pixies, the Flaming Lips, and Built to Spill; and, in 2025, launched two all-new music festivals—one of which took place on a boat.
Modest Mouse are set to tour North America beginning in July. They’ll also join My Chemical Romance for one of their Black Parade 20th anniversary shows in Milwaukee. Scroll down for the band’s full 2026 itinerary.
