Oasis Documentary Trailer Reveals Gallagher Brothers’ Reunion Hesitation: ‘Will It Fall Apart Again?’

Oasis has dropped the first trailer to its upcoming documentary, Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger, which chronicles the band’s blockbuster Live ‘25 reunion tour.

The teaser opens inside an empty rehearsal studio as band members start arriving and news audio clips discussing Noel and Liam Gallagher’s feud before cutting to news that a reunion was happening.

“The way it finished — unacceptable,” declares Liam over video of the band gathering. “It didn’t sit right with me, man.”

“I just don’t see myself on stage with Liam,” adds Noel. “I don’t really want to be going back with the tension. Will it fall apart again?” The trailer later jumps to the opening night of the tour in Cardiff, Wales, with Liam describing the shows as a chance to “exorcise demons.”

The film is scheduled to be released in cinemas worldwide on Sept. 11, with early IMAX previews across the U.K. and North America on Sept. 9. Tickets for both forms of screenings can be found at Oasis’ website, along with further purchasing information. The film will premiere at the Venice International Film Festival ahead of release.

Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger is produced by the BAFTA and Oscar-nominated producer and writer Steven Knight and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, the filmmakers behind LCD Soundsystem’s Shut Up and Play the Hits documentary. The two-hour film is “an unapologetically uplifting account of the biggest musical event of 2025, capturing the experience and emotions of the band and their fans across the world,” according to the press release.

“Alongside the band’s sold-out world tour, the film also explores the profound emotional impact of this phenomenal global cultural moment and what their music means to audiences and generations worldwide,” the synopsis adds.

Featuring “unprecedented access and never-before-seen footage”, the documentary will include rehearsal and live footage, as well as the first joint interview with Liam and Noel Gallagher in more than 20 years. Alongside the tour, which kicked off in Cardiff in July 2025, the film will explore the enduring meaning of the band’s music for fans across different generations. Over its career, Oasis has landed three songs on the Billboard Hot 100 (including “Wonderwall” at No. 8) and 11 releases on the Billboard 200.

Reporting from night one in Cardiff, Billboard U.K. editor Thomas Smith hailed the Live ‘25 tour as a “triumphant return” for Oasis. The reunion marked the end of a 16-year wait for fans, following the band’s split in 2009 after Noel walked away from the band amid longstanding tensions with Liam. The brothers went on to pursue separate solo musical careers, while keeping up multiple feuds across social media and in interviews.
