The official trailer for the new Oasis documentary film Don’t Look Back In Anger has been released. Watch below, and find details on how to book cinema screenings.

The “landmark” two-hour movie, produced by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, is due for release in cinemas worldwide, including IMAX, on September 11. It is directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, known for the LCD Soundsystem doc Shut Up And Play The Hits.

“Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger charts Liam and Noel Gallagher’s triumphant reunion tour, Oasis Live ‘25, one of the most anticipated rock ‘n’ roll comebacks of our time,” a synopsis reads.

“The film is an unapologetically uplifting account of the biggest musical event of 2025, capturing the experience and emotions of the band and their fans across the world.”

The upcoming doc will feature the formerly estranged Gallagher brothers’ first joint interview in over 20 years, as well as footage from rehearsals, and backstage and onstage moments from the shows.

“Alongside the band’s sold-out world tour, the film also explores the profound emotional impact of this phenomenal global cultural moment and what their music means to audiences and generations worldwide,” the description adds.

Some of the “unprecedented access and never-before-seen footage” promised to fans is included in the first official trailer, which begins with a shot of an empty rehearsal studio. We then see the band members arriving at the location, and hear the news of Oasis’ long-awaited comeback being announced.

Later, frontman Liam is seen at the mic in the dark practice room. The two brothers eye each other up in the clip as Noel speaks about past “tension” between the pair in a voiceover. “Will it fall apart again?” he asks.

The trailer eventually cuts to Oasis’ Live ’25 opener in Cardiff, as LG speaks about “exercising demons” on the reunion tour. After shots of some euphoric moments from the trek, Noel tells us: “The songs are one thing, but I’d forgotten what he [Liam] means to people.”

He adds: “I certainly wasn’t prepared for the intense outpouring… a sense of what it meant to people.” Liam says at the end that Oasis’ return was “a chance to change the narrative of the band”.

Advance tickets are now available to purchase at Fandango or wherever tickets are sold for the September 11 release in North America. Alternatively, special limited IMAX early access screenings will take place in the US and Canada on September 9 – buy your tickets here.

Fans in the UK can now book via Vue, Showcase, Cineworld and IMAX, with some preview screenings listed for September 9.

Meanwhile, Liam and Noel will reportedly attend the Venice Film Festival together for the world premiere of Don’t Look Back In Anger on September 5.

Following the film’s big-screen release, it will land on Disney+ globally, and on Disney+ and Hulu in the US, later this year.

Speaking about the doc previously, Knight has explained: “The Oasis world tour united generations, cultures and countries and spoke to a broken world about reconciliation. Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger is not only your ticket to the show – it’s a backstage pass and a seat at the table when Liam and Noel sit down together for the first time in 15 years and tell it how it is and how it was.”

The forthcoming project will contain some “phenomenal” footage of Liam and Noel’s first meeting ahead of the shows. A first teaser arrived earlier this summer. Noel previously said: “I’ve only seen a tiny little bit of [the film] and it’s difficult to have an opinion on it because I’m only looking at little snippets.

“Everyone who has seen it, or seen more of it than I have, has said that it’s amazing. If it even captures five per cent of what that tour was, it’ll be astonishing. Looking forward to it.”

The trailer comes amid speculation that Oasis are heading back on the road for a run of UK and European dates in 2027. The rumoured dates include a homecoming residency in Manchester and a return to Knebworth.

The promoter of the Live ‘25 tour was recently granted a licence to host gigs at Knebworth, making Oasis’ potential return to the stage next year more likely. While fans anticipate more concerts, Liam has seemingly rejected the idea of a new Oasis album.

Last week, Oasis celebrated the 30th anniversary of their original two-night stint at Knebworth by launching a new range of merchandise. Fans also shared their memories of the massive dates on social media.
