Raye ‘devastated’ after system error leaves 65 ticketholders stranded outside Paris concert

Raye was “devastated” after learning that 65 fans were denied entry to her Paris concert on Sunday night due to a Ticketmaster error.

The Where Is My Husband singer has issued an apology to the ticketholders who were banned from entering the Accor Arena in the French capital due to the “unacceptable” system error.

“I am completely devastated for the 65 ticket holders who were turned down from entering our Paris show on Sunday night. This is completely unacceptable and wrong,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday night. “I have been told this was a system error at Ticketmaster meaning 65 tickets were not fully validated when they were purchased, this was outside of anything I could control and I feel saddened and let down.”

Raye, real name Rachel Keen, noted that fans affected by the system error had been given refunds and a Ticketmaster voucher.

However, as a further apology, the singer-songwriter’s team will be contacting them to offer a complimentary ticket to “any Raye future show of their choice” and a signed vinyl.

“I know this doesn’t even remotely make up for this mess but it’s all I can think of in this moment to soften the blow,” she continued. “My deepest apologies to those of you affected. Love Raye.”

The 28-year-old is currently on the European leg of her trek, This Tour May Contain New Music, in support of her upcoming second album, This Music May Contain Hope.

Raye will next perform at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester, England on Wednesday, ahead of shows in Glasgow and Birmingham and a four-night run at London’s O2 Arena. The U.S. leg kicks off in Sacramento, California on 31 March, four days after the release of her album.
