RAYE racing towards first Number 1 album with THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE.

RAYE is racing towards her first-ever Official Number 1 album this week.

THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE., the independent South London singer-songwriter’s second studio project, leads a slew of expected new entries, outselling the rest of the Top 5 combined midweek. RAYE’s debut, My 21st Century Blues, peaked at Number 2 in 2023.

New York native Melanie Martinez is on course to claim her third Top 10 with fourth album HADES (2). It looks to match her current career best, achieved with 2023’s PORTALS.

DON BROCO expect a fourth Top 10 LP with their fifth studio collection Nightmare Tripping. The Bedford-born rockers previously saw similar success with 2015’s Automatic (6), 2018’s Technology (5) and 2021 chart-topper Amazing Things.

Swedish pop auteur Robyn eyes a personal best, and her first UK Top 10 album, with ninth collection Sexistential (4), as Tom Misch looks to land a third Top 10 with Full Circle (5).

Fully remixed and remastered, an expanded Collector’s Edition of their iconic 1974 album could see Queen’s Queen II pierce the Top 10 for the first time in 52 years (7).

These Are The Good Days is expected to earn English pop-rock outfit Scouting For Girls a fifth Top 10 record, and their highest charting in 13 years (9).

BULLY is predicted to become Kanye West’s 14th Top 40 album, and first under his Ye moniker (11), while Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett is on course for her fifth with Creature of Habit (12).

Scottish rockers The Twilight Sad track for their highest charting album to date with IT’S THE LONG GOODBYE (14), as Missouri-born pop artist Slayyyter sets her sights on her first-ever Albums Chart entry with WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA (17).

Lancaster-formed rock outfit Massive Wagons find Live At The Great Hall at Number 21 midweek, while American heavy metal quartet Black Label Society sit at Number 22 with 12th studio project Engines of Demolition.

As they tour the UK, Gorillaz’s former chart-topper The Mountain reaps the rewards, up nine midweek (26).

New York duo Fcukers – also known as Shanny Wise and Jackson Walker Lewis – expect their first-ever Albums Chart appearance with Ö (30), as does British-Sudanese singer-songwriter Elmiene with sounds for someone (34).

All Roads Lead Home is on course to earn Central Cee a fourth Top 40 accolade (35), Colchester-formed rockers PET NEEDS eye their second with ELBOWS OUT! THIS IS CAPITALISM (36) and, finally, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea finds his solo debut Honora rounding out the midweek Top 40 update (38).
