Rihanna has offered up a heartfelt message in honour of her homeland, Barbados.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the popstar-entrepreneur shared a slideshow of snaps showing her posing in a variety of settings on the island nation. She also included a series of close-up photos of local beaches, plants, food, and the cover of her passport.

In the accompanying caption, Rihanna celebrated Barbados for transitioning to a republic within the Commonwealth on 30 November 2021 and the leadership of President Jeffrey Bostic and Prime Minister Mia Mottley.

“Congratulations to Barbados, MY HOME, on our 59th year of Independence and our 4th year as a Republic!” the 37-year-old exclaimed. “Today also marks the installation of our 2nd President, His Excellency Lieutenant Colonel The Most Honorable Jeffrey Bostic, who alongside our Honorable Prime Minister Mia Mottley, will continue to lead Barbados with excellence!!”

As part of her post, Rihanna also shared a photo of herself when she was pregnant with her daughter.

In the snap, the Umbrella hitmaker is seen holding hands with her two little boys next to a pool.

Rihanna shares sons RZA, three, and Riot, two, and an infant daughter named Rocki, with partner A$AP Rocky.

The Fenty Beauty founder and rapper welcomed their baby girl on 13 September.

To conclude, Rihanna declared: “Barbados I LOVE YOU!!!! #Bajan2DeBone.”
