Sunn O))) are back with a new song, “Butch’s Guns.” The track appears on their self-titled Sub Pop debut, out April 3, and follows last month’s “Glory.” Listen to it below.
The drone-metal duo has also added a European leg to the North American tour it announced last month. The run kicks off in Zurich on July 23 before traveling to Amsterdam, London, Berlin, and elsewhere. More dates are still to come. Check out the itinerary so far below.
Sunn O))) signed with Sub Pop back in October, releasing three new singles—“Eternity’s Pillars,” “Raise the Chalice,” and “Reverential”—to mark the occasion. They shared their most recent studio LPs, Life Metal and Pyroclasts, in 2019. In 2021, they also released a set from Mary Anne Hobbs’ BBC Radio 6 Music show as a live album, Metta, Benevolence.
