Take That breaks Amazon Music streaming records with Manchester homecoming show

Pop icons Take That have broken streaming records with the broadcast of their spectacular live concert, The Circus. Streamed live from Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, the performance has officially become the most-watched UK live-streamed event to date on Amazon Music, calculated by the total number of hours watched by viewers.

The record-breaking broadcast, which aired exclusively across Amazon Music, Prime Video, and Twitch, served as a historic homecoming for the legendary Manchester band. The concert formed the centerpiece of a massive three-night residency at the Etihad Stadium, marking the latest stop on their critically acclaimed global stadium tour.

The band delivered a masterclass in stadium showmanship, treating fans to an energetic, two-hour production that pushed the boundaries of live entertainment. The visually stunning performance featured an expansive cast of 40 professional dancers, acrobats, fire-breathers, and stilt-walkers, alongside the tour’s signature centerpiece: a magnificent, 30-foot-tall mechanical elephant that navigated the stadium stage.

This milestone broadcast reinforces the enduring popularity of the band within the UK, showcasing their status as one of the region’s premier live acts. Following the historic Manchester residency, The Circus tour is scheduled to travel to London for a series of highly anticipated shows, before returning to Manchester for one final engagement and concluding the summer run with a definitive closing performance in Dublin.

The live broadcast marks the latest high-profile concert to be presented by the streaming service. Amazon Music continues to expand its global live-entertainment portfolio, capturing massive cultural musical moments and broadcasting them directly to fans. Recent major streaming events have included live coverage from Primavera Sound Barcelona, Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California, Aya Nakamura’s performance at the Stade de France in Paris, and intimate performances from Bastille and Mumford & Sons as part of the ongoing City Sessions series.
