Taylor Swift praises ‘eternally exceptional’ Paul McCartney

Taylor Swift has offered up a rave review of Paul McCartney’s new music.

Taking to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday night, the Opalite hitmaker reposted a link to a message promoting the legendary British musician’s twentieth solo studio album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane.

In the accompanying caption, Swift declared, “Never not inspired by this eternally exceptional artist (bicep emoji).”

McCartney dropped the project, which he co-produced with Andrew Watt, in late May.

It includes the lead single Days We Left Behind, and the track Home to Us – a duet with his Beatles bandmate, Ringo Starr.

The 83-year-old has not publicly replied to The Life of a Showgirl star’s praise.

But during an interview for BBC Sounds last month, McCartney explained that he could see a parallel between his global fame at the height of Beatlemania and Swift’s experience.

“You do see the parallel, you know the fame and the amount of fame,” he said. “The worldwide fame that Taylor Swift has and that we had, but I don’t think she needs any advice to tell you the truth.”

In addition, McCartney revealed that he was a fan of pop stars such as Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, and Sabrina Carpenter.

“They’re really cool people, they’re very good,” the singer-songwriter smiled. “I like their voices. If they need any advice, yeah, I would be happy to give it, but I don’t think they do.”
