Toni Braxton cuts concert short due to ‘unexpected personal emergency’

Toni Braxton left her latest concert just two songs into her nine-track set.

The He Wasn’t Man Enough singer hit the stage for the New Edition Way Tour in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the US.

“My loves, I am so sorry I wasn’t able to finish the show last night,” Toni wrote on her Instagram Stories yesterday.

“I had an unexpected personal emergency and had no choice but to step away. You deserved my everything, and I hate that I couldn’t give it to you,” she continued. “I feel your love from here. Thank you for understanding.”

The star, who has been touring with New Edition and Boyz II Men since January, didn’t share further details about cutting her performance off, but she has previously detailed how touring can be complicated for her.

Since being diagnosed with lupus in 2008, Braxton has opened up about navigating her health struggles while performing.

“I’ve been feeling OK, that’s been the anxiety, just making sure I’m ready,” the Un-break My Heart singer told People magazine.

“My doctor said I’m ready to go. I got checked off, everything’s good, but there is a little anxiety performing and having that health scare. But the man upstairs said it’s going to be OK, so I know I’m going to be all right.”

The Grammy winner underwent emergency heart surgery in 2022 ahead of her 2024 Las Vegas residency.

Braxton shares two sons, Denim, 24, and Diezel, 22, with ex-husband Keri Lewis.
