Harry Styles has recalled how he laughed at his grandmother’s funeral while thinking about an “inappropriate” song.

During an appearance on Brittany Broski’s Royal Court series this week, the host queried the singer-songwriter about the title of his 2022 track, Music for a Sushi Restaurant.

Brittany then asked Harry whether he believes other locations deserve to have songs written about them.

“I really like cremation songs,” he replied, causing a ripple of laughter in the room. “I remember being at my grandma’s funeral, and as the belt started, it just went The Long and Winding Road (referring to the 1970 song by The Beatles), and it made me laugh. It feels so inappropriate because of how abrupt it was. And then I just started thinking about inappropriate cremation songs… And then I was off.”

Harry listed some of the other classic songs that came to mind, such as Dan Hartman’s Relight My Fire, The Trammps’ Disco Inferno, and Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Brittany questioned Harry whether his teeth are “fake”.

The As It Was hitmaker insisted they weren’t, but seemingly referenced the rumour that he had undergone a hair transplant procedure.

“This hairline, though,” the 32-year-old quipped, before adding: “No, no.”

Harry is currently promoting his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.

The project, featuring lead single Aperture, is set to drop on 6 March.
