Harry Styles’ Biggest History-Making Moments Ahead of ‘Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally’

Harry Styles has come a long way from his X Factor audition in 2010. After forging a career in pop music as part of One Direction, the singer broke away from the boy band and charted an equally formidable path on his own as a bestselling artist and must-see touring act.

The latest stop on the way is his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, slated for a March 6, 2026, release. Despite taking four years to follow up his 2022 Billboard 200-topper, Harry’s House — which earned him his first-ever album of the year Grammy award — fans proved through their outpouring of excitement over the record’s announcement and with their support for Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 lead single “Aperture” that Styles is in rarefied air as a pop soloist, achieving a level of longevity that most artists can only ever dream of.

So in honor of Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally kicking off what is destined to be yet another memorable chapter for the Worcestershire native, Billboard is taking a look back at some of his biggest history-making accomplishments over the years — post 1D, which disbanded in 2016. (His debut solo album, Harry Styles, came the following year, succeeded by Fine Line in 2019, both of them also topping Billboard‘s album charts).

From chart feats to touring triumphs and even more commercial and cultural milestones, Styles’ achievements prove that music will never be the same as it was before he got in the game. Check out some of the most monumental ways he made history below.

  • First Man With a Solo ‘Vogue’ Cover

When he was just 26, Styles became the first man to appear solo on the cover of Vogue, doing so in 2020. Even more notable? The musician wore a dress for the occasion, sparking discourse and subverting gender norms.

  • “As It Was” On Top

In April 2022, Styles’ lead single for third album Harry’s House, “As It Was,” reached No. 1 on the Hot 100 — where it then stayed at the top for 15 weeks, becoming one of only a handful of songs to rule atop the chart for double-digit weeks.

Before Morgan Wallen took over in 2023 with “Last Night,” Styles was also the artist with the longest-running solo song at No. 1. At press time, he still holds the record for longest run in the top spot for a British artist.

  • Pop Airplay Power

After Harry’s House dropped in 2022, Styles became the first male soloist to chart three hits in the top 10 of the Pop Airplay chart thanks to “As It Was,” “Late Night Talking” and “Music for a Sushi Restaurant.”

The following year, “As It Was” also broke the chart’s record for longest stay at No. 1.

  • Breakthroughs for Brits

Harry’s House also made Styles the first British soloist to have four top 10 hits chart concurrently on the Hot 100, with “Late Night Talking,” “Music for a Sushi Restaurant” and “Matilda” debuting at Nos. 4, 8 and 9, respectively, while “As It Was” reigned at No. 1.

Another feat Harry’s House scored for the Brits? The album made Styles the U.K.’s first male soloist to have their first three albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

  • Madison Square Garden Memories

In 2022, Styles became just the third musician to ever receive a banner dedicated to their stay at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Before the pop star’s was raised in the rafters in celebration of his 15 Love on Tour shows at the famed venue, Billy Joel received one for his 129 performances there, while Phish got one after 13 consecutive nights. Styles’ stint at the arena also set a Billboard Boxscore record for highest grossing headline engagement at a single venue, pulling in $63.1 million across 277,000 tickets sold.

Styles is now set to double the length of his prior mini-residency by setting up shop at MSG for 30 nights on his Together, Together tour.

  • Most Nights at Wembley in 1 Year

Before Styles even hit the road on his Together, Together tour, the trek had already made history. In January 2026, the artist added more London dates to his run of Wembley Stadium shows, bringing the anticipated total up to 12 — and breaking Coldplay’s record for most performances at the famed venue in one year. That means he also broke Taylor Swift’s record for the most of a soloist.

  • A Billboard Chart First

With Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally lead single “Aperture,” Styles became a part of the Billboard Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart’s history in 2026 by establishing himself as the first male artist to ever peak at No. 1 on the ranking.
