TWS’ “SODA SODA” hits No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, released Aug. 12.

The title track from the six-member K-POP boy band’s second Japanese single, released Aug. 4, launches with 307,037 copies to hit No. 2 for sales and No. 2 for radio airplay, accumulating the week’s highest total points. The No. 1 marks the group’s second chart-topper on the Japan Hot 100, following their Japanese debut single “Hajimemashite.”

ME:I’s “Flower Road” enters at No. 2. Released Aug. 5, the title track from the group’s fourth single sold 146,201 copies to come in at No. 3 for sales, No. 4 for radio and No. 7 for downloads.

“Summer Twin Tail” by ≒JOY (Nearly Equal Joy) debuts at No. 3. The group’s fifth single, also released Aug. 5, sold 371,043 copies — a new personal-best first-week figure — to top the sales chart.

Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s “Brand New” holds at No. 4. Though total points declined to 86% of the previous week’s figure, the track retains No. 1 on streaming and No. 2 on video views.

“Tsumi to Batsu to Ame to Kiss” by M!LK members Hayato Sano and Jinto Yoshida debuts at No. 5, landing at No. 3 on downloads and No. 1 on video for a strong opening-week showing.

ATEEZ’s “BAD” slips three spots from No. 3 to No. 6, with CD sales of 49,555 copies for No. 4 on that metric. M!LK’s “Sukisugite Metsu!” climbs one position to No. 7 in its 41st week on the chart, while the group’s “Bakuretsu Aishiteru” also rises a spot to No. 9 in its 26th week.

Spitz’s “Mishiranu Ito,” the theme song to the TBS Friday drama T-Shirt ga Kawaku Made, debuts at No. 8 with No. 2 on downloads. ILLIT’s “It’s Me” rises two spots to No. 10, with streaming up 104% week-over-week. Travis Japan’s “On My Road -Stadium ver.-” is among the week’s other new entries, debuting at No. 18.

At No. 55, Aimyon’s “Ai Wo Tsutaetaidatoka” returns to the chart for the first time in nearly four years, since September 2022. The track is currently being celebrated with music video art exhibitions across three cities nationwide as part of the 10th anniversary of the singer-songwriter’s major-label debut, and was also performed alongside “Super Girl” on the Aug. 7 broadcast of Music Station. With mid-August now arriving, Fujifabric’s late-summer classic “Wakamono No Subete,” first released in 2008, also re-enters at No. 89, its first chart appearance in approximately 11 months.

The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, audio streams, radio airplay, video views and karaoke data.
