Cardi B almost called off a show in Atlanta over the alleged disrespect of her team by the staff at the venue.

The rapper took to Instagram Live to share her frustrations about how her touring party was allegedly treated during the second night at the State Farm Arena last night (April 18).

“Your fucking employees are being disrespectful… I’m not performing today,” Cardi said during the broadcast, saying she wanted to speak to higher management.

“We got in here, your employees are being fucking rude for no reason, being rude for no reason. I feel a certain type of way, because you being disrespectful. I did 35 shows, and I never had a problem, and we’ve been kind to everybody.”

However, the show – part of her current ‘Little Miss Drama’ tour – later went ahead as scheduled.

In a follow-up post on X, Cardi wrote: “When you hold power and authority, use it with kindness and respect. Never abuse it… because not everyone will endure your arrogance in silence. Treat others exactly like you demand to be treated. Atlanta… I’ll see you soon.”

NME has reached out to State Farm Arena for comment.

In other news, Cardi B recently won the right to recover trial costs following her court victory over security guard Emani Ellis, who accused her of assault.

Ellis previously alleged that Cardi had assaulted her in a hallway of a Beverly Hills obstetrician’s office, which the rapper attended while attempting to conceal a pregnancy in 2018. In court, Cardi told jurors she made an effort to hide the medical visit because she didn’t want to announce she was expecting her first child with Offset at that time, but claimed Ellis was recording her and blew her cover.

While she admitted that the pair got into a “verbal altercation”, she denied that she assaulted Ellis, who alleged her cheek was cut with a three-inch nail and she was spat on, leaving her “deeply traumatised”.

Last year, after deliberating for less than an hour, the jury came to a quick verdict in the rapper’s favour. Following that legal victory, on Thursday (March 26), a Los Angeles judge ruled that Cardi can recover nearly $20,000 (£15,000) in trial fees.

Earlier this month, she was brought on board to judge New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani’s Best Childcare Jingle contest.

The songs will be written to promote Mamdani’s free childcare initiative for the city’s two-year-olds, which the administration is calling 2-K, similar to pre-K and 3-K for three-year-olds.

In a video promoting the contest, Mamdani asks Cardi B what she thinks of free childcare. “I feel like free childcare is very important,” she says. “Sometimes, us women, we can’t really go forward because we don’t have nobody to help us take care of our kids.”
